"The Master of Business Administration (MBA)is designed for experienced graduate professionals looking to better prepare themselvesfor the business challenges of the 21st century."
There are five specialisations under MBA in which a student can choose a specialisation according to their needs and expertise: MBA major in Finance where students will learn on Portfolio Management, International Finance, Managing Risks Futures and Operations and Corporate Finance; MBA major in General Management in which students will learn on Human Resource Management, International Business and Organisational Change and Development; and MBA major in Islamic Banking and Finance where students will focus on Islamic Banking and Finance courses. IIUM CRESCENT also offers MBA major in Strategic Management and Construction in Building and Facilities Management. Students can also choose to write a project paper in order to complete the MBA programme.
An MBA student can also choose to specialise in two different areas from the existing four available disciplines (Islamic banking & finance, general management, strategic management and finance). To receive a dual specialisation, a student must complete four additional specialisation courses that fulfil the requirement for the second specialisation. This means that a student will have to enroll in three additional new specialisation in addition to one elective course (which has to be under the new specialisation) under the existing MBA programme. However, if students wish to write a project paper in lieu of the elective course, the subject matter of the research has to be chosen from the specialisation areas.
