Be a Success Story

TDCX Malaysia’s HR Director Zaeem Chan shares it all on how to stand out and impress!

Be aligned with our company culture
Our company culture revolves around fostering curiosity, constantly evolving to innovate and to spread positivity through our customer experience. We also take pride in ensuring a working culture that is diverse and inclusive – it’s important to constantly practise openness, acceptance, and transparency.

Have the same values as the company
We believe in the power of teamwork, initiative, courage, innovation, and trust. It’s about knowing how to be a team player, being able to take charge, as well as being unafraid of taking risks and embracing new ideas.

Own your success by taking charge
You’ve got to be passionate, not just in your tasks but also in continuously learning and developing yourself as a professional. Learning never stops and knowledge is power. You’ve also got to be agile as the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry is fast paced. It’s important to embrace changes as they come. Most importantly, taking ownership of your own success. Know that everything is in your power, and that if you want to achieve anything it’s completely up to your own initiative, drive, and dedication.

Work hard but work smarter
You can be smart and work hard too. But if I must choose, it’d be smarts. It’s all about learning how to manage your time effectively, knowing how to prioritise your tasks, and have the ability to truly perform.

Learn from your seniors (Like Zaeem!)
My working style heavily emphasises strong communication, coupled with the ability to think strategically far into the future, employing transparency and openness with my employees and most importantly to leverage talent so that everyone can perform to the best of their ability and beyond. Empowering employees is crucial to me. It's important to provide them access to a wealth of knowledge repository so that they can strengthen their decision-making skills and continuously sharpen their skillset.
