The GRADUAN ASPIRE+ 2024 is happening soon… and we want you to make the best of it.
Conferences can be an invaluable opportunity for personal and professional growth, offering a platform to learn from experts, network with like-minded individuals, and gain fresh insights into your field. However, the true value of a conference largely depends on how you make the most out of it.
Speaking of which, our ASPIRE+ is coming up (for more details, go to graduan.com/aspireplus)! And we want you to have the best experience here, whether it is your first time going or if you’re a regular. Here are some tips on how to have an epic ASPIRE+ experience:
Pay attention
It’s important to absorb all the information and insights shared during our conference whether it's a keynote address, a panel discussion, or a breakout session. Stay engaged and take notes. This will help you remember key takeaways and share them with your colleagues or peers. Utilise tools like note-taking apps or good old-fashioned pen and paper to capture the most important points.
Go with friends
Attending a conference with friends can enhance your experience at ASPIRE+ significantly. You can discuss the presentations and ideas during breaks, share your thoughts, and even divide and conquer by attending different sessions, then exchanging notes. Collaborative learning is often more enriching than going it alone.
Research the speakers
Before the conference, take some time to research our speakers. Understanding their backgrounds, areas of expertise, and the topics they'll be covering will allow you to make informed choices about which sessions to attend. It also provides valuable context, making it easier to engage with the content during their presentations.
Record the audio
It’s easy to miss important details during a conference, especially one like ours where everything moves fast. Recording the audio of sessions or taking videos can be a game-changer. Later, you can review the content and reabsorb the key insights. Be sure to respect conference policies regarding recording and seek permission when necessary.
Ask questions
Don't be afraid to participate in our Q&A sessions. Asking thoughtful questions not only helps you understand the topics better but it also allows you to connect with speakers and fellow attendees. Remember that you're not the only one with questions, and the speaker's responses might provide valuable insights that can benefit the entire audience.
Connect with speakers after the conference
Your engagement doesn't have to end when the conference does. Use social media platforms like LinkedIn or Instagram to connect with the speakers and continue the conversation. Share your thoughts and thank them for their insights. This can lead to meaningful professional relationships and further opportunities for learning.
