What is the opportunity?

CACEIS was set up in Cyberjaya, Malaysia in July 2023 with approximately 1,000 employees, with the acquisition of RBC investor Services’ European business and Malaysia centre of excellence. As a centre of excellence, the team in Malaysia provides asset services, custody and payments for clients in Europe (Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, Switzerland and United Kingdom) with a global operating model that maximises efficiencies across time zones, supports 17/5 operational capability with follow the sun model, enhances scalability of our global operations and the implementation of standardized processes. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for opening accounts with the target fund administrators and providing all registrars with the necessary documents. You will also responsible for following up on current account opening requests, and for regularly contacting registrars to obtain the expected confirmations as quickly as possible. He/she also helps manage other Fund Execution customer events (inbound/outbound migrations, name changes, etc.).

Working hours: 3:00PM -12:00AM / 4:00PM - 1:00AM

What will you do?

  • Processing account openings with administrators.
  • Receipt and processing of account opening requests from order execution teams and customer relations.
  • Requests static data teams to make the necessary settings for the receipt of account opening confirmations from registrars, and is responsible for notifying order processing or customer relations teams of successful execution of requests.
  • Creation and follow-up of event files (receipt of target portfolios, analysis of securities and accounts to be opened).
  • Internal and external exchanges and cooperation: with BI, customers, Fund Channel, Compliance and registrars.
  • List specific features relating to TA, monitor the implementation of cover all, collect and list information on client accounts (trailer fees/dividend policy), manage specific features relating to the multiple branches of CACEIS Bank.
  • Receive and process account opening requests from order execution teams and customer relations.
  • Provide to TA with account opening document pack or application forms.
  • Setting TA account numbers in the required systems.
  • Follow up with TA in order to chase the account opening requests pending.
  • Contact with Caceis compliance officers when TA challenge documentation provided.
  • Document and regularly share his/her activities and projects with his/her team and line managers according to the processes/procedures in force and the required protocols and alert his/her line managers if difficulties are encountered or anticipated.
  • Perform the analyses necessary to assess operations/services presenting a risk in relation to the regulatory framework or the internal procedures in order to report anomalies, recommend/take necessary corrective measures if necessary, and manage priorities.
  • Organise and plan his/her work in order to comply with major milestones and deadline constraints. Be able to rigorously manage the time allotted to meet the defined objectives.

Job Requirement

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • An undergraduate or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business related field.
  • Typically 4 – 5 years of related experience in operations processes such as Fund Execution, Global Fund Platform, Investor or Fund Administration.
  • Experience in supervising and guiding team members.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral).
  • Strong attention to details and technicalities and excellent organizational skills.
  • Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
  • Good knowledge about Fund/Trust Industry and Financial Markets in general.
  • Prior exposure to Operational Risk and the corresponding risk monitoring tools.
  • A sense of urgency to achieve excellent results.
  • Flexible, ability to cope with stress and pressure.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Technical skills and proficiency in MS Office applications including PPT, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Nice-to-have

  • Advanced knowledge of Access or Excel macro’s is an asset.
  • Good networking and client relationship.
  • Independent, confident, self-motivated, pro-active and mature.
