What is the opportunity?

CACEIS was set up in Cyberjaya, Malaysia in July 2023 with approximately 1,000 employees, with the acquisition of RBC investor Services’ European business and Malaysia centre of excellence, delivering operational excellence.

As a centre of excellence, the team in Malaysia provides asset services, custody and payments for clients in Europe (Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, Switzerland and United Kingdom) with a global operating model that maximises efficiencies across time zones, supports 17/5 operational capability with follow the sun model, enhances scalability of our global operations and the implementation of standardized processes.

As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Completion of all daily processes for position keeping, trade management and flow monitoring
  • Ensure internal and external enquiries are managed on time and with high quality standard
  • Accountable for Global Servicing from operating location (includes shifts and work on bank / legal holidays and weekend when required)
  • Maintain statistics up to date (including daily team checklist update)
  • Maintain organizational relationship with Management line
  • Ensure effective resolution of enquiries.
  • Escalation of issues & problems
  • Act as back up to Supervisor & provide backup relief to all administrators
  • Assistance in monitoring team's activity to ensure that production requirement are met

  • Promote quality of deliverables by motivating, coaching and developing team members
  • Ensure cross training and rotation of duties occurs on a regular basis to increase operational efficiency and reduce operational risk
  • Periodic review of process to refresh understanding of requirements and review for compliance
  • Ensure all processes are documented in the manual and are maintained on an on-going basis
  • People Management for daily operations, assist on-boarding
  • Supervise daily operation and ensure all operational issues are treated in a timely and effective manner

What will you do?

  • Perform reconciliation to Middle Office clients.
  • Perform daily controls of incoming flows to ensure data are correctly integrated.
  • Apply corporate actions into system.
  • Generate cash balance for clients.
  • Perform trade matching, eg: react to broker allegement, chaser to broker/client, manual matching, etc.
  • Provide notification to relevant parties and follow up on the failed trade.
  • Ensure the SSI database is consistently updated to the latest version.
  • Verify the accuracy of fee calculations.
  • Overall system monitoring for IT and release issue.
  • Examine the anomalies on the transmission of messages in the system.
  • Maintain efficient communication channels with managers, coordinators and team members.
  • Timely resolution/escalation of inter-departmental and cross functional queries.
  • Ensure collaborative relationship across jurisdictional, functional and cultural boundaries when required for the daily operations.
  • Works closely with manager of department to achieve department and organization goals.
  • Maintain standards of personal and professional behavior.
  • Take responsibility for personal development and training.
  • Coach team members as necessary on specific & identified tasks / activities to ensure team efficiency.

Job Requirement

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Post-secondary education with an accounting/finance concentration or equivalent experience.
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience in relevant Securities Operations/Financial Services.
  • English Language (Written/Oral) Proficiency.
  • PC literate in MSOffice applications.
  • Knowledge in Excel VBA, Macro will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in Swifts, Financial products will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in English language (written / oral) and interpersonal skills.
