What is the opportunity?

CACEIS was set up in Cyberjaya, Malaysia in July 2023 with approximately 1,000 employees, with the acquisition of RBC investor Services’ European business and Malaysia centre of excellence, delivering operational excellence.

As a centre of excellence, the team in Malaysia provides asset services, custody and payments for clients in Europe (Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, Switzerland and United Kingdom) with a global operating model that maximises efficiencies across time zones, supports 17/5 operational capability with follow the sun model, enhances scalability of our global operations and the implementation of standardized processes.

As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for the Day to Day deliverables: Delivery of Portfolio Securities Valuation for Fund Administered under various platforms (12 Entities of the Group) Including: CPS Pricing L1/L2 – FX & Interest Rates L1/L2 – Stale Price Analysis L1 – Customer Support L1/L2 – EUCs Update and Daily Maintenance L1/L2 – CPS Parameterization L3 (Day to Day) – (*L1:Maker / L2: Reviewer / L3: Super User Access).
  • Promote quality of deliverables by motivating, coaching and developing team members.
  • Ensure cross training and rotation of duties occurs on a regular basis to increase operational efficiency and reduce operational risk.
  • Ensure all operational issues are treated in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure all processes are documented in the procedures manual and are maintained on an on-going basis.
  • Maintain an in depth knowledge of BCP procedures, policies and plans • Ensure compliance with and completion of code of conduct / RBC I&TS compliance manual / control self-assessment.
  • People Management for daily operations, on boarding.
  • Provide and maintain indicators to the management (KPI / KQI).
  • Act as deputy manager.
  • Participate with manager in goal setting, mid-year, and year end appraisals of staff.
  • Perform regular self-assessment of team tasks and process work flow.
  • Ensure key stakeholder relationships are maintained effectively.
  • Actively support business initiatives.

What will you do?

  • Accountable for ensuring the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the production activities under responsibilities.
  • Identify issues and problems in operational service delivery and take remedial action, keeping the Manager informed.
  • Ensure effective logging and resolution of enquiries and liaise with appropriate parties to resolve / escalate queries / problems within agreed timescales in coordination with the Global Securities Pricing Expertise Center (LUX).
  • Stay current with external environment that governs / influences the business.
  • Ensure the organizational framework supports the delivery of quality service and operational excellence.
  • Propose / follow clear indicators that measure operational delivery excellence.
  • Actively Support an environment of continuous improvement and change management that covers workflow, processes and procedures on an ongoing basis, ensuring maximum efficiency and quality.
  • Provide support on new business or client service when required.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to enhance Global Securities Pricing’s service delivery.
  • Undertake when necessary the tasks and role of an Administrator / Senior Administrator
  • Provide support to the Management through regular communication.
  • Clear internal communication.
  • Provide support to client when expertise required in relation with the Global Securities Pricing Expertise Center (LUX).
  • Ensure collaborative relationship across jurisdictional, functional and cultural boundaries when required for the daily operations.
  • Maintain high performing teams, leveraging individual capabilities and strengths.
  • Relay / explain in daily operations RBC I&TS vision, as well as support and reinforce client focused behaviors that contribute to RBC I&TS goals.

Job Requirement

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Post-secondary education with an accounting/finance concentration or equivalent experience.
  • Sound technical and financial knowledge on reference data.
  • Knowledge of different investment instrument types.
  • Experience in operation environment.
  • English Language (Written/Oral) Proficiency.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Knowledge in Excel VBA will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in data vendors i.e. Bloomberg / Telekurs / FTID / Reuters will be an added advantage.
