Multimedia University (MMU) is the first private university to be established in Malaysia. Instituted in 1996 by Malaysia’s largest telecommunication company, Telekom Malaysia (TM), MMU is among the top 200 Asian Universities and the best provate university in Malaysia according to the 2012 QS Asian University Ranking. Besides that, MMU is also ranked by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) as an “Excellent” Tier-5 university.

The Institute for Postgraduate Studies (IPS) of MMU provides postgraduate support for programmes in Information Technology, Management & Business, Creative Multimedia and Engineering. These postgraduates programmes are structured in three categories: Masters programmes by Coursework, Doctoral programmes by Coursework and Dissertation as well as Masters and PhD by Research.
