Young Engineers at Work - Klang Valley MRT (MMC Corp)

Hey guys! Team GRADUAN was excited to be apart of one of the historical projects in Malaysia, the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (KVMRT) Project! Specifically, Team GRADUAN was at the Merdeka and Pasar Seni Station with the theme of 'Independence - A Tribute to the Spirit of Malaysia and Her Independence' and 'Confluence – Where Tradition Meets our Contemporary Lifestyle' respectively.

A big thank you to MMC Corporation Berhad and the participants in the KVMRT Project Video!

FUN FACTS!
The KVMRT project within the Klang Valley of Malaysia is the backbone of a new generation sustainable transport system. Initiated by the Government to mobilise a greater Malaysia in the Economic Transformation Programme, the KVMRT’s Objective is to alleviate increasing traffic congestion in Klang Valley.

To construct this transportation system without affecting the busy city landscape above, the mid section of the alignment covering some 9.5km was taken underground. At its best, tunneling is able to build the KVMRT without impeding future land use. This method causes minimal obstruction in present city landscape, buildings, roads that have existing surface transportation and usage.
