That’s a wrap for the GRADUAN Virtual Event 2020!

The platform for Malaysian employers to find their future CEO!

Pandemic or not, there’s no stopping GRADUAN from connecting job seekers with the right employers. This year itself, we held a total of FOUR career fairs and over 20 GRADUAN Live Events!

Our latest and final fair for the year? The Australia Career Fair and our first-ever Global Virtual Career Fair, held from 8 to 10 December where Malaysian talent around the world were treated to a golden career opportunity to meet, engage, and get hired by leading Malaysian employers such as Intel, Nestlé, Maxis, CIMB Bank, PwC and many more.

2020 not only marked the 16th anniversary of our popular Australia Career Fair but also the first time the flagship career initiative for Malaysian talent in Australia took place virtually. Held on 8 December, 4000 talent logged on to connect with 16 employers in hope of finding the perfect fit.

Meanwhile, we held our first-ever Global Virtual Career Fair on 9 and 10 December, the first time Malaysians from all over the world could gather on a single platform to discover exciting career opportunities back home. The Global Virtual Career Fair attracted 4000 Malaysian talent from the USA, Germany, France, Canada, Japan and Taiwan among many others.

Here are some of the highlights of what happened during both fairs:

GRADUAN VIRTUAL CAREER EVENT
The opening ceremony took place virtually on the morning of 8 December where GRADUAN®’s Director Nabil Marie provided the opening address followed by the keynote address from our Guest of Honour, Muhammad Nadzri Abdullah Sani, Vice Consul from the Consulate General of Malaysia. This was followed by the official launching of the event with a promo video by #TeamGraduan. You can view it here (from 10:05 onwards).

Then, it was off to webinars! During the fair, participants were invited to two webinars by Nestlé and Intel. Nestlé’s webinar, titled ‘Inside the Nest’, featured their young talent sharing their experience working for GRADUAN Brand Awards’ most preferred FMCG Employer. Meanwhile, Intel’s webinar featured senior level management who shared insight into life at Intel and how there’s a place for talent from all backgrounds at the multinational technology company.

Aside from getting insider info, the fair was also the perfect opportunity for talent to attend virtual interviews with their preferred employer. Or to quote Muhammad Nadzri, for employers to “find their future CEO!” #teamGRADUAN would like to thank everyone for an eventful 2020 and here’s to a safer 2021! See you again!
