COURSE INTRODUCTION

The Master in International Hospitality Programme (MIHM) is a postgraduate degree awarded by Taylor’s University and University of Toulouse-Jean Jaurès (UT2J). This is a recognised qualification for those aspiring to become a general manager, consultant, property developer and entrepreneur in hotels, food service establishments and any service-related field. This programme enables industry professionals to move up the career ladder. It provides the grounding for fresh graduates to secure promising jobs at the middle to senior management levels. METHOD OF INSTRUCTION/DURATION

MIHM is a course-based programme suitable for both full-time and part-time studies. It involves 12 modules, a project paper and an internship (those with sufficient relevant experience may apply for exemption to internship). The 12 modules are delivered through lectures, seminars, discussions and more, and most of the block lectures are delivered by professors from UT2J while a selected number of lectures are delivered by notable industry professionals. The minimum duration of this postgraduate degree is one and a half years while the maximum duration is five years.

PRE-REQUISITE

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.50. Bachelor’s degree with a CGPA between 2.00 and 2.50, including a minimum of five years related work experience. Or recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) as approved by the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia or a Postgraduate Diploma Level 7 in same field recognised by Malaysian Government, with credit transfer as well as any other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian Government.
