No harm in getting the hottest tech tool to help you land your next job.

Job interviews can be nerve-wracking, even if it isn’t the first time you’re going for one! The trick to a successful one is to always come prepared with thoughtful answers as well as knowing what other unexpected questions that may come up.

What’s the best way to prepare yourself for this? Well, enter ChatGPT. In case you haven’t heard (where have you been!), ChatGPT has been gaining traction for the benefits you can gain in a variety of situations – it can help you outline a speech, do research for you, write a short introduction in your cover letter, and yes, even help you prepare for a job interview.

You know the whole advice about going through a mock interview with a friend? Well, ChatGPT can be that friend for you. How it works is through prompts, which basically is the series of questions you type in and send to the chatbot to start a “conversation”. To get the right answer (or one that’s remotely close to what you need), you need to master the art and science of crafting a prompt to get ChatGPT to do exactly what you want it to do. Unlike a friend, it doesn’t know how to read the situation or your mind. If you don’t ask it the right prompt, you won’t get the right answer. In other words, you’re not feeding the chatbot with enough information to go off of. You can read more about how useful ChatGPT is in a previous article and how you can use it to help you prepare for a job interview.

Our focus now? How to ask the right prompts to give you the answers you need. Check these out. Feel free to customize based on your specific needs and the role you are interviewing for!
